Arguably The Most Important Metric In Business ---

I am so glad that this episode was voted by you into the BookPals Business Sanity Christmas Classic series because we couldn't agree with you more!!!

It doesn't matter what kind of business you run, the one single metric that determines whether or not it is successful or not are the numbers in it.

There are many numbers in business, however, they often get overlooked and that's why this chat with Pete Williams of preneurmarketing.com is such a great discussion, because not only do we talk about financial numbers in business, but all those other numbers that can make or break a business.

We Hear You - So Here It Is!!!

One thing that will never cease to amaze me these days is how quickly you can receive feedback that can help you improve your products and services.

I was recently talking about BookPals to a gentleman based in the U.S. who I met on LinkedIn.

This particular person helps Accountants source more clients and our discussion was based around whether or not BookPals could help Accountants with this goal.

I invited him to have a look at the BookPals website to get more information on it and he quickly came back complaining that there was not enough information there to help him with his decision.

It was then that I directed him to the individual landing pages that we have set up for Business Owners, Bookkeepers and (more importantly in his case) Accountants and his response was "These are great, but why can't I get to them from the one place?".

My response was "Great question - and I don't have an answer to it!!!" so we got straight to work to fix the problem.

And here it is - Say Hello To The Updated BookPals Website!!!

As you can see, everything you need to know about BookPals is now in the one spot for you, so instead of "digging around the Internet" to find details on how BookPals can help you, all you have to do now is head over to www.bookpals.biz and it's all there.

Let us know what you think of the updated website.

How Savvy Are You About Your Business?

What does the term "Savvy" mean to you in the context of your business?

Does it mean that you intimately understand all the products and services that you sell?

Does it mean that you understand your customer's wants and needs?

Does it mean that you know how to effectively promote and market your business?

If your answer is "yes" to all three of these then "Bravo" to you, but answer me this question -

How "Financially Savvy" are you about your business?

It's all well and good to understand your products and services - understand your customer's wants and needs - and understand how to effectively promote and market your business - but if you don't become financially savvy about your business very soon you could find yourself in serious financial difficulty.

And this is why we were so happy to see that you had voted this discussion with Emily Chase Smith into the BookPals Business Sanity Christmas Classic podcast series!!!

Emily teaches business owners how to become more financially savvy about their business and she knows why this is so important because for many years she worked with business owners who were not financially savvy and their businesses ended up going into liquidation!!!

Get ready to learn about what is arguably the most important part of your business on this BookPals Business Sanity Christmas Classic episode.

It Really Is Best To Say It Just As It Is!!!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!

Isn't it amazing how often some of your best business ideas come from impromptu discussions you have with people you meet in the most unexpected of places?

We were at a New Years Eve party last night and I got talking to a person that I met for the first time who works in the financial services industry.

While we were chatting he asked me what I do for a living and I made mention of the BookPals project.

As I was explaining what BookPals is all about he became most interested because he provides small business owners with business finance and often has difficulty getting finance for his clients because their financial records are often virtually non-existent.

Then he said something that absolutely stopped me in my tracks!!!

He said "This is great - now I know about BookPals I can go to my clients and ask them 3 questions -

1. Do you run a small business?

2. Do you hate doing the bookkeeping?

3. Do you need a way to get your financial receipts collated quickly and easily?

and if the answer to all three questions is "Yes", I can then refer them to your product so that they can get their receipts sorted and I can get them finance."

I just stood there looking at him totally flabagasted because he put into words exactly what we have been trying to conceptualise ever since BookPals started so from now on, here is the BookPals message in a nutshell -

Are you a Small Business Owner or Tradesman?

Do you hate bookkeeping?

Are you looking for a way to quickly and easily collate your financial receipts?

If the answer to all these three questions is a resounding "Yes" then don't hesitate - join us at BookPals because it is exactly what you are looking for!!!
